2008 Mercury Prize Shortlist Announced

The nominations for the 2008 Mercury Music Prize have been announced, with a pretty solid shortlist (as always). There are a few that we definitely expected to see, such as Radiohead's In Rainbows and Robert Plant & Alison Krauss' Raising Sand , but there were a few welcome surprises in there as well. It is great to see British Sea Power getting a nod for Do You Like Rock Music? , and we're quite happy to see The Last Shadow Puppets' The Age Of The Understatement on there as well.
