Anthony Edwards will be returning to NBC's long-running series "ER" to appear in an episode of the show's fifteenth and final season, TV Guide reports.
Edwards' character, Dr. Mark Greene, died of a brain tumor on the show back in 2002. But he is being brought back to appear in a flashback scene with new series regular Angela Bassett, TV Guide senior editor Will Keck reports in his column.
In the episode, Bassett's Dr. Cate Banfield enters the emergency room -- but not in a doctor capacity -- and encounters Edwards at her bedside. Edwards won a Golden Globe, People's Choice and three SAG Awards for playing one of the show's famous docs.
