Bachelorette Reject Jason Mesnick Named New Bachelor Star

Jason Mesnick is hoping he has better luck with a crop of contestants on the new season of The Bachelor than he had with Bachelorette DeAnna Pappas , who rejected his proposal last season . ABC announced Wednesday that Mesnick, 32, will star in the 13th season of The Bachelor , beginning in January. See photos of Us' best celeb weddings . Mesnick, an account executive in estate and legacy planning who divorced two years ago, is the single father of a 3-year-old son, Ty. A native of Cleveland, he lives in Washington.
