Beckham presents Lifetime Achievement award to Pele. DAVID BECKHAM has established himself as the most famous soccer player in the world, but before "Becks" an entire generation knew the name "Pele" as the best in the game! Wednesday night one great honored another, as David paid tribute to the legendary Brazilian footballer. The British import gave the now 67-year-old sports icon the Lifetime Achievement Award at the MLS W.O.R.K.S. & U.S. Soccer Foundation Gala at Gotham Hall in New York City. "For me to be here to present this to the greatest sportsmen of all time, I feel particularly honored," David said. "This absolutely is a highlight moment for me."
