Britney Spears Nominated For Top MTV Nod

Popstar Britney Spears is nominated for the coveted MTV video of the year nod for "Piece of Me," facing off against Jonas Brothers for "Burnin Up." Britney is pictured above in the show's new promo with this year's VMA host Russell Brand. This is Britney's third nomination for this year's show, the others including Best Pop Video and Best Female Video. Other nominees announced today for video of the year include the Pussycat Dolls for "When I Grow Up," Chris Brown for "Forever" and The Ting Tings for "Shut Up and Let Me Go." The VMAs will take place Sept. 7 in Los Angeles. (link)
