The Golden Globes are canceled and the Oscars and the Grammys could be next. But is George Clooney the secret weapon to end the writers strike?
All eyes are turning to the leading man to help settle Hollywood's nastiest feud and get the two sides talking.
"I'm not a negotiator at all," George told "Extra" at the National Board of Review of Motion Pictures awards gala.
But what about rumors that his involvement could further a career in politics?
"No, not right now," he said. "That's not my move."
George, who hit the red carpet with girlfriend Sarah Larson, accepted the Best Actor award for his role in "Michael Clayton."
Turning to Sarah, he said, "She looks good. She's all done up!"
George also revealed he can't wait for former "Peacemaker" co-star Nicole Kidman to have her baby.
He joked, "I'm excited. When does it happen? Soon? What's the gestation period nowadays?"
