Dad Thrown Off 'Idol' Island

"American Idol" instituted a backstage ban on David Archuleta's dad, Jeff. The papa to the pop star can no longer stand by 17-year-old David, reportedly after producers became fed up with Jeff's attempt to change a lyric in David's performance of "Stand by Me." Now, "Extra" has judge Simon Cowell weighing in on the matter -- but the notoriously nasty judge is bowing out of this dispute.
