'Damages' Makes Emmy History

"Mad Men" and "Damages" made Emmy history as the first basic cable shows with Best Series nods, while TV faves "Grey's Anatomy" and "Desperate Housewives" were nearly shut out -- with no acting nods for either show! The clear winner -- HBO's historical drama "John Adams," had a whopping 23 nods -- including one for actor Paul Giamatti. Neil Patrick Harris and Kristin Chenoweth announced Alec Baldwin and Tina Fey's comedy gem "30 Rock" came in second with 17 nominations. Justin Timberlake scored a nod for his "Future Sex/Love Show."
