Danial Day-Lewis, 'No Country' and 'Sopranos' Dominate SAG's Anniversary Show

 
The casts of 'No Country For Old Men' and "The Sopranos" whack the competition. Hollywood's best and brightest braved the rain to celebrate the Screen Actors Guild 75th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. The COEN BROTHERS ' neo-noir Western 'No Country For Old Men' won the Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture award, besting 'American Gangster,' '3:10 to Yuma,' 'Hairspray' and 'Into the Wild.' Star JOSH BROLIN commented that, "It is a risky movie" representing "a cornucopia of change" for actors, and joked, "The Coen Brothers are freaky little people, and we did a freaky little movie whether you like the ending or not." As expected by many, DANIEL DAY-LEWIS earned his second-ever Best Male Actor in a Leading Role statuette for his role as a conflicted oil man in 'There Will Be Blood.'
