Daniel Smith Inquest: Death Was Not Homicide

Just in... ET has the latest on the new developments in the inquest of ANNA NICOLE SMITH 's son, DANIEL , as the magistrate in the case will not be giving the jury the option to rule his death a homicide. We've learned that they will have the option of ruling the cause of death an "accident," "misadventure," "non-dependent drug use" or an "open verdict." After Daniel was found dead at Nassau's Doctors Hospital on September 10, 2006, two autopsies showed a toxic mix of methadone and the anti-depressants Lexapro and Zoloft, but the Bahamas police forensics chief testified that the high level of methadone was enough to have killed Daniel and that he could have had it in his system when he landed the night before. Additionally, pathologist Dr. GOVINDA RAJU testified that the combination of methadone and antidepressants is a lethal cocktail that would have become lethal after five hours. (link)
