The CW debuted its much anticipated 90210 spin-off Tuesday night. Original show favorites Jennie Garth and Shannen Doherty shared the screen (albeit briefly) with a wide array of fresh faces . The Boston Globe called it "pretty bad," while Variety slammed it as "a pallid copy of the original fish out of water story only with shinier cars, fancier clothes and Botox aplenty." It's "a perfectly competent and reasonably seamless revival that understands what made the original tick," said a Newsday critic. (link)
