"Samantha Who," premiering Monday, Oct. 6 at 9:30 p.m. on ABC, kicks off its new season with a dance competition in which Samantha ( Christina Applegate ) teams up with her mother Regina ( Jean Smart ) to go toe-to-toe with Regina's nemesis Paula Drake ( Cybill Shepherd ).
