Greatest Song At This Moment - The Strokes' "12:51"

 
Dedicated to those songs that I can't stop playing, humming, or thinking about; the 4+ minutes you fall head-over-heels in love with. Past instances have included Weezer's "El Scorcho," Ronnie & The Daytona's "Little G.T.O." , and Tender Box's "Spectacular Spider-man Theme." Is this title referring to something more clever than I am? It's a kind of mirror image of itself, in calculator font anyway. Is that mirror image quality supposed to tie into why the band wants to go out and get forties (f*** goin' to that party), but then changes their mind so quickly? I have a tendency to like the sequels to successful, groundbreaking things more than the original. It's not a hard and fast rule in all regards (the first Godfather still gets a bump up in my book over its sequel), but as I've been recently regarding my music collection, I realized I've been listening to the sophomore albums much more than the big breakthrough albums.
