Idol's Randy Jackson: Paula Abdul Is "Doing Great" After Split

Randy Jackson says Paula Abdul is holding up nicely after her split from restaurateur J.T. Torregiani . "I talked to her just last week — and she's doing great!" Jackson told Usmagazine.com at his 52nd birthday bash at Tao in the Venetian Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas Saturday. ( See photos of other newly single stars .) Abdul and Torregiani began dating in April 2007 when he introduced himself to her after an Idol taping. "He's a sweetie pie," she has said of Torregiani. "He's a positive force that has come into my life right now. Where it leads, who knows?" He has since moved out of her Los Angeles home.
