John Mayer Recalls Flings With Fans

John Mayer opened up to fans about hooking up with groupies, joking with the paparazzi and what inspires him at the Z100 Lounge at New York City's Spotlight Live on Tuesday night. And good thing new fling Jennifer Aniston – who's followed him to shows in London, Missouri and Toronto – wasn't in the audience! ( See more celeb flings. ) "I might have hooked up with people, but as soon as we hooked up, they weren't fans anymore," Mayer, 30, told an audience member who asked him about fan love connections. But, the singer admitted he hasn't gotten cozy with groupies "in a really long time – not since the camera phone!
