LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Michael Phelps has already brought home the gold - now he's bringing it to TV. The record-breaking Olympic swimming champ will host the season premiere of NBC's "Saturday Night Live" on Sept. 13 and make an appearance on MTV's "Video Music Awards" on Sept. 7, Access Hollywood has learned. Sources close to MTV confirmed to Access that Michael Phelps would be involved in this year's "VMAs," though there's no word yet on what he'll do on the show. On "SNL," host Phelps will make his acting debut, according to a statement released to Access . He'll be appearing alongside one of his favorites, musical guest Lil Wayne.
