LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Neil Patrick Harris will host the 2009 Emmy Awards, multiple sources have confirmed to Access Hollywood . Variety and The Hollywood Reporter were the first outlets to report that the "How I Met Your Mother" star, who recently hosted the 2009 Tony Awards, was negotiating to MC the ceremony.
