CHICAGO, Ill. -- President-elect Barack Obama is following through with a promise he made to daughters Malia and Sasha back in July during Access' exclusive Obama family interview with Maria Menounos. During his Election Night acceptance speech he told them, "I love you both so much, and you have earned the new puppy that's coming with us to the White House." But Sasha and Malia will have to be patient about their puppy. The Obamas will not pick out a new First Puppy until spring, an Obama camp insider told Access Hollywood .

Man Oprah Cried on at Election Rally Identified

The man she was photographed sobbing on during President Elect Barack Obama 's Grant Park rally, is volunteer Sam Perry , the Chicago Sun-Times reported on Thursday.
According to the Sun-Times , Perry will appear on the Oprah Winfrey Show on Friday.
“He’s a great, great [Obama] supporter,” Giselle Schmitz, regional field director for the Obama campaign told the paper. “He did a ton of work on the campaign.”
