Paul Newman Remembered By David Letterman (VIDEO)

Monday night David Letterman spent a segment remembering actor and fellow racing-enthusiast Paul Newman, "Here is a guy who took care of people... This guy ought to be a saint." Letterman told how they first bonded. Newman loved to put great engines in cheap cars, and had a Porsche engine in a VW Rabbit. One day Newman called and offered to get Letterman a Volvo wagon with a racing engine inside, and he said yes. The Volvo went 175 mph. After telling a hilarious story about owning that car and having it basically explode, Letterman aired a video tribute of Newman's appearances on the show set to Rufus Wainwright's version of "Hallelujah."
