Police Considering Investigation Into Britney Spears Drugging

Los Angeles Police released a statement yesterday, saying they are looking into allegations that Britney Spears was drugged. Police Capt. Kyle Jackon said "particular suspects have not yet been fully identified ... at this time we don't know whether or not a formal investigation will be initiated." LAPD Officer Jason Lee told Usmagazine.com earlier this month, "We are not investigating Sam Lutfi." In a six-page declaration (released last month), Lynne Spears had accused Lutfi of grinding up Risperdal, a sleeping medication, and Seroquel, an anti-psychotic drug prescribed to treat bipolar disorder, and giving them to the pop singer. Lutfi himself admitted in an Us Weekly cover story that he had given Britney "a handful of pills" to help her sleep. Britney, Lutfi told Us, agreed that the meds were helping her sleep. (link)
