Project Runway 2008 Recap: Go Green!

Designing garments exclusively using eco-friendly fabrics was the challenge for this week's episode of Project Runway and being a life long vegetarian myself, I was excited that Runway decided to give attention to a subject that is not only timely but also necessary for our future. To kick things off, Tim Gunn arrives to give the twist on this week’s challenge, and what a twist it was: the models had to choose the fabric for their designers and walk the runway! I know what your thinking: ‘Oh no!’ That was true for many, but for others it was gold. There is one more twist: unlike in seasons past, no designer received the coveted immunity this week. However, the winner’s design would end up being sold on BlueFly.com, which I guess was a mixed blessing. Early on, we discover that Leanne is already a green designer...good work! The models are sent off to make their respective purchases at Mood Fabrics when Jerell - in his interview - insulted his model's intelligence and judgment.  ... (link)
