Sarah Palin is resigning as Alaska governor. The former Republican VP candidate says she'll step down from office on July 26, reports the Associated Press . Palin's spokesperson didn’t specify why she is resigning, but the AP says the move has created buzz that she might attempt to run for president in 2012.
