'SNL' Star's Father Slain

Former "Saturday Night Live" star Cheri Oteri's father was murdered in Nashville on Saturday, reports the AP. Gaetano Thomas Oteri, 69, was allegedly stabbed by his roommate, music publisher and manager, Richard William Fagan. The two men got into an argument at their home, and later that evening Fagan was arrested for a DUI. Fagan told the police that the two fought around 9:00 PM, after which Fagan used a Colt pocket knife that fatally wounded Oteri on the wrist. He has since been arrested for the murder of Tom Oteri. Fagan is famous for writing the hit songs "Be My Baby Tonight" and "Sold (The Grundy County Auction Incident)" for John Michael Montgomery. A rep for Cheri Oteri had no comment. (link)
