Snoop Dogg, MTV Announce Global Deal Involving TV, 'Rock Band,' New Album

MTV and Snoop Dogg announced on Tuesday (February 10) a global deal that will bring the entertainers' personality to television in a new variety talk show, "Dogg After Dark" — which premieres Tuesday, February 17, at 9 p.m. ET/PT — and music to fans with a new album release and via the video game "Rock Band."
"Dogg After Dark" is a weekly variety talk show filmed at Los Angeles nightclub Kress, and will find Snoop interviewing celebrities and musicians, and will also feature sketch-comedy segments and musical performances. The show will air every Tuesday night for seven weeks and feature Snoop's own in-house band, the Snoopadelics (of course, an homage to the legendary group Parliament-Funkadelic, whose music is a keystone of West Coast rap).
