Star Jones spoke out on Wednesday night at a reception for the Clinton Global Initiative at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City about Republican presidential candidate John McCain 's plea to postpone Friday night's presidential debate.
The TV personality told ET, "We need to know who is going to have the baton and we need to know who can handle pressure. … You don't want to see what the president is going to do when everything is calm and hunky dory. You want to see what they can do when it's stressful times. This is stressful times. He needs to step up, or shut up!"
McCain announced earlier today he would put his presidential campaign on hold to go back to Washington in an effort to work with lawmakers to aid the ailing economy. He asked his Democratic opponent, Barack Obama , to also put his campaign on hold and asked to postpone this Friday's scheduled debate with Obama, but Obama said in a news conference Wednesday that the debate should go on, according to the ...
