Knight, who plays intern George O’Malley, has asked producers to write him off the show, a source tells People magazine. When asked about the off-screen casting drama, a rep for the actor gave CelebTV.com a firm “no comment,” but the source tells People that Knight’s request will be granted and that he’ll be written out of the show. Knight’s departure would be the second major change for the drama this season. Brooke Smith—aka Dr. Erica Hahn, who played the lesbian love interest of Sara Ramirez’s Dr. Callie Torres, was let go last month. (link)
