Ted Kennedy Delivers Suprise Speech at DNC

 
On the political front... He was expected to appear, but Ted Kennedy suprised the Denver audience at the Democatic National Convention Monday night with a rousing speech endorsing presidential hopeful Barack Obama . "My fellow Americans, it is so wonderful to be here, and nothing -- nothing -- is going to keep me away from this special gathering tonight," said the Massachusetts senator. "I pledge to you that I will be there next January on the floor of the United States Senate," he added, inspiring the audience -- which included his nieces Maria Shriver and Caroline Kennedy -- to chant his name.
