ComingSoon.net's The Weekend Warrior offers a preview of the new releases opening this week with Ben Stiller's war comedy Tropic Thunder opening on Wednesday, followed on Friday by George Lucas' Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Alexandre Aja's horror movie Mirrors . This week's "Chosen One" (also opening in semi-wide release) is Woody Allen's Vicky Cristina Barcelona starring Javier Bardem, Scarlett Johansson and Penelope Cruz.

I actually have faith that the film will be pretty hilarious. Even with the Stiller and Jack Black overkill in Hollywood, I think it’s Robert Downey Jr. that’ll be the show stealer.
That being said, the Tropic Thunder soundtrack is pretty damn near generic as they come. There’s no real surprise. It’s exactly what you’d expect from a comedy like this. I can almost foresee the entire film ...
