Defying critics, Gov. Sarah Palin proved to hold her own during Thursday's vice presidential debates. She peppered her arguments about energy, the economy and global warming with her trademark folksy phrases like "doggone it," "god bless her" and "betcha." Look back at photos of Sarah Palin's family on the campaign trail. Joe Biden also appeared confident and upbeat as he attacked presidential candidate John McCain , equating him to President Bush .
