Whitney Port Pal: She Needs to Be a "Confident New Yorker"

Move over, Lauren Conrad : Whitney Port has a new pal looking to give her advice about her New York City life. On this week's episode of MTV's The City , Port's coworker, NYC socialite Olivia Palermo , advises Port on how she should go about finding her first apartment — without the help of her boyfriend, Jay Lyon . "Whitney's been wanting advice about apartments and asking what areas she should look [in], and I gave her suggestions, but said 'Don't get the first place you see,'" Palermo recounts to her cousin Nevan on tonight's episode. "We were at a photoshoot the other day and [Whitney] got a call from Jay that he had found her a place. She scooted out early from work to check it out and I covered for her.
