[VIDEO] Jean-Claude Van Damme’s JCVD trailer
Published 2 days ago by Matt at You Aint No Picasso
Wow. I actually would like to see this. Jean-Claude plays himself in JCVD, a movie about his real-life woes, both financial and personal. Looks like they avoid too many “boo hoos” and dorky action sequences and hit it from all the right angles. /Film ...

Is This The Performance That Will Win Mickey Rourke An Oscar? [The Wrestler]
Published 2 days ago by Seth at Defamer
... just can't wait until the Golden Lion-winner's December 19th release date to live for a precious few hours in aging wrestler Randy "The Ram" Robinson lace-up boots, we offer now a preview scene from the film: In it, The Ram attempts to apologize to his estranged daughter, played by Evan Rachel Wood, in a one-sided, seaside soul-baring that reminded us of Jack Nicholson's Five Easy Pieces peace-making monologue with his mute father. Kirsten Dunst Back For Spider-Man 4
Published 15 days ago by Nick Wolfwood at Backseat Cuddler
... Kirsten Dunst  is returning for Spider-Man 4 .  When MTV asked  Kirsten Dunst  if she would be returning for  Spider-Man 4 , the actress responded “I’m in.” Which sounds like a done deal if you ask me. But when pressed if she officially signed on to return, the actress changed her tone, “I’m not saying anything, I know there’s rumors…” More of that constant screaming is now guaranteed for the next Spidey film.  Source: /film POSTED BY: ...

She’s hit mostly other movie forums including Cinematical, SlashFilm, and Premiere, but has also popped up on Stuff White People Like. The ...

Toronto 2008 Day 4 - Day 6: Parties, Interviews, and Films Galore
Published 9/11/2008 by Alex Billington at FirstShowing.net
... When it comes down to it, at the end of the day when I return back to my hotel room that I'm sharing with Peter Sciretta from SlashFilm and reflect on the day past, I always remember that it's all about my love of film. Every movie I see, every interview I do, every party I attend, every review I write, it's all for my love of film. And thankfully Toronto has provided a wonderful venue for me to see great movies, whether good or bad, and still smile at the end of the day. There are only three more days left until this festival wraps up and I move on to Austin, ...

Batman and Mr. Freeze Have Pow-wow

... the T-800—would feel about this decision, but stranger things have happened. Last month, T4 producer Moritz Borman had this to say to Wired per Arnold’s involvement: “Schwarzenegger is governing California. He will not be, as a person, in the film.” The consensus seems to be that Arnold will do a voice-over, but nothing is confirmed. We’ll update with any developments. SOURCE More pics here

Screen Rant Guests On The Cinema Blend Podcast
Published 9/1/2008 by Vic Holtreman at Screen Rant
I know that people have asked why we don’t have a regular podcast here at Screen Rant. I made an attempt about a year ago to do a weekly podcast before we had a great stable of writers, and I found it extremely difficult to do alone. So what about now, you ask? Now it’s an issue of time, or rather not enough of it, plus trying to coordinate a time that most of us can get together when we are located across the country (with Niall in the UK!). ...

Attack of the Meme
Published 8/22/2008 by Joseph Demme at Cinexcellence
You can blame this on MovieMan0283 at The Dancing Image for starting this up and T.S. at Screen Savour for tagging me. So before we get to the goodies, here are the rules for the latest Internet fad: 1. You must not have seen any of the films on your list, either in theatres or on video. 2. The films on your list should not be available on Netflix (this will be the criteria for “availability” since it’s too hard to track down what’s available where, to who, etc.) 3. You can organize the list however you want, in themed couplets like Piper’s original list, or just as twelve semi-random films. 4. You ...

We have a picture of Amy Adams as Amelia Earhart for you to check out; thanks to our friends at slashfilm for the hook up. This is a cool shot and I am glad that we were able to pilfer it for all of you to see. ...

Comic Con Rumour Control: Aronosky on Robocop, Ratner on God of War, Proyas off Silver Surfer
Published 7/25/2008 by Sean at Film Junk
... . First of all, Darren Aronofsky is indeed going to direct MGM’s Robocop remake , so you can put that in your pipe and smoke it! It will actually be a sequel that takes place 20 years after the events of the first movie. David Self ( Road to Perdition ) will write the script. I think this is great news all around, and will definitely change a lot of people’s minds about the project. Secondly, Brett Ratner has been ...

What cartoon crap left to make into movies? JONNY QUEST
Published 6/3/2008 by CMAC at Box Office Psychics
... According to /Film, director Peter Segal (Nutty Professor II, Get Smart), already attached to Warner Bros. upcoming Shazam pic, might be skipping over the aforementioned in order to shoot Jonny Quest. Jonny Quest, for those of you who aren’t in nursing homes and thus don’t remember, was a cartoon like 5 million years ago about a fair-haired boy and his psychic Labrador retriever Poncho. Oh and there’s that Indian kid who shoots lasers from the gem in his forehead. Apparently Warner Bros. execs were hot to replicate the massive ...
