One more thing I should note is that we do not encourage people to blindly vote for everything that their friends submit. While this might help your friends' stories get more visibility in the short term, in the long run, this doesn't help anyone. If a friend writes a piece that is really excellent, then by all means vote/link to it. But only by promoting the best content to the home page will we be able to continue to attract new users who will stick around and read more of your stories.

Hi Garry Conn,

we made an update to the site tonight that addresses this issue. Now verified blog owners have the ability to edit or delete stories submitted by Rover from their blog. And when a story is edited, its ownership shifts from Rover to the blog owner.

As I am building more friends and neighbors here in ShowHype I have devoted time towards helping my friends with gaining more exposure to their posts. Not only do I vote for my friend's cool articles here, but I also venture out and places many submissions into Digg, StumbleUpon, Propeller and many other places.

With that said, one of the key things I really enjoy the most about ShowHype is building friends. Take my account for example, I now have 19 members of this forum and 18 friends. My routine is the same every day. If you are on my friends list, then you're getting a vote if you have something cool to share.

From time to time, I'll visit the home page of ShowHype for awesome news, but mostly I only have time to read the articles that my friends submit into the system. Having that said, if you want to be my friend, let's hook up as you can always count on a vote from me.

In this post today, I want to talk to you about Rover, the ShowHype bot. Today I wrote a post on my blog and failed to submit the story into the system and failed to flag down a friend to review it. About an hour later, I an automatic email from ShowHype telling me that Rover discovered my post.

Initially, I was thinking, "Oh cool... I met a new ShowHype friends and he submitted one of my posts." But upon investigating the profile page of Rover, I soon discovered that I could not add Rover as a friend and then after reading the profile description, I soon discovered that this was a robot created by ShowHype to scan member's blogs and auto submit the posts into their system.

My advice to you is to not let Rover take the submission on your post as you will be missing out on quite a bit of traffic. The problem with your post getting submitted into the system by Rover is that you lose the huge "Friend Buzz" factor.

Normally when I submit a post into ShowHype there is a record of that on the screens of all my friends. Basically, the more friends you have the more exposure your submitted content receives.

So when Rover takes over, you miss out on that entirely. My advice to you is to have a few friends lined up and ready to submit your post for you and or submit it yourself. Because if you don't then Rover will, and if Rover gets a hold of your post, you won't get much traffic from your friends as they simply won't know about your post.

I am actually a full time blogger. I have quite a few different blogs with many diverse topics. However, one topic that I enjoy writing about a lot is celebrity news and gossip.

With this topic, as you may already know or soon to be discovering, there is quite a bit of competition. In fact, in my experience, I would say that the celebrity niche is one of the most competitive niches in the blogosphere.

Having that said, a few months ago, I launched Celebrity Access and have taken all my experience and skills towards promoting and marketing that blog. Things have been going very welll for the blog. Over the course of a few months I have gained a ranking in the search engines such as Google and the content that gets published typically gets indexed very quickly.

I am looking to continue with my efforts towards growing the blog and in part of doing that, I want to help you grow yours and help you increase your web traffic. I am currently looking for celebrity bloggers who want to work with me towards helping each other. This includes doing link exchanges, writing reviews of each other's blogs and helping out with social networking votes.

If you are interested in increasing your web traffic to your celebrity blog, drop me a response and let me know what your blog address is so that I can check it out. Also, I invite you to join the group and also add me as a friend.

I feel that social networks such as Show Hype should be a two way street, meaning eveyrone should help each other and things shouldn't be one sided. So far to date, in my opinion, Show Hype has one of the most eager, friendly and helping community base I have seen compared to many other leading social networks.

Hello everyone. My name is Garry. I run a little old blog called, Celebrity Access. I am new to Show Hype but I have to say that this place is a breath of fresh air compared to other social networks.

Everyone here seems very kind and most importantly eager to contribute and help others. That really is a surreal feeling coming in from some other networks where people seem to be very selfish and greedy.

I think a social network such as Show Hype is a two way street. Meaning it is a collaborative effort by all members in the network or group to work together to bring forth the best quality. I see that attribute here at Show Hype and that is one of the main reasons why this community instantly felt like home to me.
