We updated the blog rankings pages to show the top ShowHype tag that is mentioned by tracked blogs in the last 30 days. Glancing at the first page, you can see that Britney Spears received the lion's share of coverage the past month, but that bloggers are also concerned with politics, the Academy Awards, and Lindsay Lohan's photo shoot.

You may also notice that we've moved the blog owner to just below their claimed blog's title.

We added photo upload to the submit a story form on ShowHype. Check out the blog for details. I'm really excited about this feature -- it will make the entity pages much richer, and provide more access points from ShowHype back to blogs and other sources of content. Let us know what you think!

We've made a change to our navigation bar that should make it easier for you to find relevant stories about your favorite movies, TV shows, musicians, and celebrities. When you're on the Movies page, for example, the navigation bar in the header now gives you quick access to the Latest Stories, Videos, Archive, People, and Blog Posts for Movies. The same is true when you drill down to a show or celebrity page.

We rolled out a small change to our story pages this afternoon.

Gone are the Comments & Links/Votes tabs, which were becoming increasingly difficult to track down on long stories. Now, to see who voted for a story, click the new Votes button which appears just below the voting arrows in the upper left corner of each story page.

We've created a Greatest Hits page for each tracked blog which lists its top stories in ShowHype history as determined by users and blog links (e.g., TMZ ). The blog names and avatars on the Entertainment Blog Rankings page now link to the Greatest Hits page, as a way to showcase your best work. We also added it as a link in the blog home page sidebar.

One other minor note: the number of blogs we track continues to grow, so we've changed the number of blogs per page on the Entertainment Blog Rankings from 20 to 50.

We've added a cool feature to ShowHype -- Pop Quiz, where you can test your ability to predict the future in entertainment. This week's quiz covers box office results for the upcoming weekend, but other quizzes will also include awards shows and reality TV outcomes. Read our blog for more, and make your picks!

It's me again.

I love this site~!

I just wanted to give some feedback about the UI (user interface) as it relates to the Forum and Groups.

I noticed when the Group name (such as this one) is longer it runs over the "START A NEW THREAD" button and makes it difficult to select.

Is there any chance you could put these two elements on different lines or use the CSS to make sure that they do not cross over each other.

I am on a MAC using Firefox 2.0.0.11

I love the website so much I have been trying to help you promote and grow!

Is there any way in the future updates you can allow members to exprire their own pending friend request or that you can set old friend request to expire after 30 days?

This would be a HUGE help!

I have once again hit that threshold!

Hello-

As some of you may have noticed, our site was unavailable for a few hours late Monday night/early Tuesday morning.

It was caused by a failed upgrade on our hosting provider's equipment, and it turned out to be the longest outage we've experienced on either ShowHype or BallHype. For those of you who tried to log in during the downtime, we're very sorry for the inconvenience.

No one else seems to be having this problem ... is it possible that you're using a browser plugin that highlights rel="nofollow" links?

FYI: we don't use rel="nofollow" when linking to any of our tracked blogs. We do use them in places like comments to help deter spam. More information about rel="nofollow".

Posted this earlier but then it was gone.

Just wonder if we can have a feedburner feedflare for HypeThis! instead of button. Because buttons are competing with AddThis that is already big in the blogosphere. Instead, HypeThis can be at the list with other top notch bookmarking site. It's easier for us bloggers and our readers, and, feedflares alse appear at RSS.

So, it could be an option tools for bloggers.

Don't you think? Just wonder.
