First impressions can definitely set the tone of a relationship, and 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon' star Anna Kendrick tells ET what it was like to work with George Clooney on the upcoming 'Up in the Air,' in theaters this December. "My first impression of George was that he was a punk," Anna tells ET. "It was a very, like, brother-sister relationship; he kind of made fun of me and I made fun of him right back." She adds of their on-set antics, "If he hadn't been an amazing guy I wouldn’t have been able to do that."

'2012' Destroys Box Office Competition

The disaster film '2012' stormed the weekend box office, opening at No. 1 domestically with $65 million and pulling in $225 million worldwide, studio estimates reveal. The premise of the movie comes from the ancient Mayan calendar that says that a cataclysmic event will occur on December 21, 2012. The star of the apocalyptic-esque movie, John Cusack , explained the premise of the film further to ET, saying, "I know the Mayan calendar was a great sundial and it was also one of the most intricate time calendars there was, so all those pyramids were…sort of time machines that would tell you exactly on the day or the month or the year…so on that date, it just stops." Coming in at No. 2 at the box office was 'Disney's A Christmas Carol,' pulling in $22.3 million in it's second weekend. George Clooney 's comedy 'The Men Who Stare at Goats' took the No. 3 spot, making $6.2 million.

Starring: George Clooney, Meryl Streep, Bill Murray Review: Maybe it?s a coincidence that two gifted young filmmakers — Wes Anderson and Spike Jonze (both born in 1969) — have latched on to kid lit and puppets for inspiration in the same year — first Jonze with Maurice Sendak?s Where the Wild Things Are, and now Anderson, having artful fun with Roald Dahl?s Fantastic Mr. Fox and giving the film a palpable texture (fur and corduroy, who knew?) by utilizing stop-motion animation with the skill of a master. (Regarding the controversy that Anderson gave instructions from Paris while the puppets were being moved in painstaking increments on a London set: So what? Anyone who?s seen Bottle Rocket, Rushmore, The Royal Tenenbaums, The Life Aquatic and The Darjeeling Limited knows this movie has Anderson in its DNA.) And the decision to... Rating: 3 Stars

Alex Remington: The Men Who Stare At Goats: A Plot in Search of a Movie

Grant Heslov's movie "The Men Who Stare At Goats" is a good premise stuck in a mess of a movie. Based on a stranger-than-fiction book about paranormal research within the U.S. military, it should be a black comedy about the lengths to which our army will go to kill people. Instead, it's a collection of tonally tin-eared, quirky setpieces that strain believability and almost completely ignore the human cost of the Iraq War during which the movie is set. In particular, it pales in comparison to George Clooney's previous middle eastern dramedies, the brilliant Three Kings and fitfully brilliant Syriana . The cast of Goats is a mixed bag. George Clooney is terrific playing a character convinced he's always in control, all circumstances to the contrary; Ewan McGregor is a complete zero as Clooney's straight man, a journalist unsure of what to make of all the supernatural stuff Clooney is talking about.
