Harrison Ford: A Hero of 'Extraordinary Measures'

Harrison Ford gets to play a different kind of hero in his new drama from CBS Films, 'Extraordinary Measures,' in theaters January 22. The film is inspired by the true story of John and Aileen Crowley (played by Brendan Fraser and Keri Russell ), whose children were diagnosed with a fatal disease. Faced with watching their children die, they set out in search of a cure themselves when doctors around them told them there wasn't one. Harrison plays the man who may hold the key to the cure. "This is the essential story of [John's] life, and we couldn't have found a more compelling character on which to pin our tale," Harrison tells our own Mark Steines . "Most of all it's about the complication of this guy's life and the incredible resolve that he showed."
