Patrick Dempsey talks about why he races, what he really thinks of "Grey's Anatomy" and his world-famous nickname, "McDreamy." Speaking about his love for the racetrack, he tells Los Angeles Confidential Magazine in this month's issue, "I think speed is only good if you can control it and channel it properly -- that’s a real challenge in racing...it’s a great escape for me." As for the nickname on "Grey's Anatomy," the actor says it's a blessing and a curse. "It's a double edged sword," he tells the mag. "This will be my legacy. I will be McDreamy."

Dempsey to Star in Bank Heist Comedy

By Wrap Staff Patrick Dempsey will star in an untitled bank-heist comedy from Hangover scribes Jon Lucas and Scott Moore. Paul McGuigan, who previously helmed "Lucky Number Slevin," will handle directing duties.The movie will begin shooting in April 2010. Peter Safran and Foresight Unlimited’s Mark Damon are producing. 'Grey's Anatomy' 'Give Peace a Chance' Recap - The Mother of All Tumors and Diapers

You know it's a tumor-centric Grey's Anatomy episode when scary sound effects reverberate when people discuss the mother of all tumors / the great white of tumors / the you-can-retire-on-this-tumor tumor. On "Give Peace a Chance" the hospital's lab-tech Isaac has an inoperable tumor and everyone is thrilled / amazed at it, probably in spite of themselves, since a tumor's supposed to be a bad thing, right? But Derek's (Patrick Dempsey) hubris / determination is at an all-time high, so he's up to the challenge of taking on a nearly inoperable tumor. The Chief (James Pickens, Jr.) obviously won't hear any of it and points this out to him quite emphatically. Unfortunately for him, the rest of the hospital - most notably Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) and Bailey (Chandra Wilson) - are all in Team Derek and stopped short of tackling the chief just so he wouldn't interfere with the 10-hour super surgery.

Grey's Anatomy: Preview of Episode 6.7 "Give Peace a Chance"

Following the harsh, harsh last episode that ended with two casualties - one dead, one fired - tonight's Grey's Anatomy will probably try to move forward and settle their differences. At least that's what can be readily inferred from the title - "Give Peace a Chance" - and the lack of bickering from the preview clips. Yet with Mer (Ellen Pompeo) out of commission because she's recovering from surgery (on-screen) and bonding with new baby (off-screen) the spotlight is cast on her hubby Derek (Patrick Dempsey). News has it that McDreamy is even taking over voice-over duties for this episode.
