By now, you’ve heard about the leaked workprint
of X-Men Origins: Wolverine. You’ve heard that it’s been
downloaded more times than a Megan Fox sex tape would be should the male species ever become that lucky. I’ve seen that workprint.

Anyone can enter, all you have to do
is submit a 500-word-or-less mock treatment on where you
would take Aronofsky’s 2010 Robocop if you were penning the script. Let your imagination run wild, and make sure to check grammar and spelling. The winner will receive a brand new Robocop Blu-Ray DVD! The winning submission will also be featured on the site.

He’s his spitting effing image! And for anybody
who doubts his acting chops, just go watch Brick,
The Lookout and Mysterious Skin. That being said, if Christopher Nolan, David Goyer and Co. wanted to bring back the Joker to face Batman again in The Dark Knight Returns (or whatever), I think they could do it with JGL.

Watch a movie everyday. EVERYDAY. That ’s pretty
much what it takes to learn film frontwards and
backwards. Why and how to pull it off without blowing the budget. Great for filmmakers and screenwriters, but also for cinephiles and DVD collectors.

Now, Paramount has been clever enough to come
up with a Tropic Thunder spin-off Hearts of Darkness
mockumentary called Rain of Madness, which even has its own site. What a great idea. After seeing how well The Dark Knight’s viral marketing did, and knowing that they’ll be able to put this on the DVD–just brilliant.

I created an exercise that both got those
bats off my brain and freed me up to
write. I did a mock treatment for how I would do the sequel to The Dark Knight. First off, I would up the ante. Three villains this time, instead of basically two in each of the previous installments. But who? Here's a clue: I'd cast Anglina Jolie, Hugo Weaving and Kate Winslet.

Wall-E is an instant classic. Think of it
like this: E.T. meets 2001: A Space Odyssey by
Pixar. Just because it ’s not as intense as Blade Runner or Children of Men doesn’t mean it isn’t as deep. It may look like R2-D2 the Movie, but underneath it’s cuteness lies a scathing social commentary about the future of mankind.

That’s right; today, one of my heroes, Robert
De Niro, endorsed another one of my heroes, Barack
Obama. Al Capone. Jimmy The Jet. Jake La Motta. Sam “Ace” Rothstein. Travis Bickle. Vito Corleone. The tough guy roles go on and on, but today the tough guy actor was on a roll.
