I've just been informed that Pop Candy has been named "Best Entertainment Blog" at the 2008 EPpy Awards . The EPpys are nominated and handed out by Editor & Publisher , a trade magazine for the publishing industry. Though I'm quite excited by this accolade, I realize this blog's community is essential to its success. Thanks to all of you for your continued participation, encouragement and enthusiasm for Pop Candy! I promise to keep working hard to try to make it the best it can be. ... The annual EpPy Awards, put on by Editor & Publisher and MediaWeek, were just announced in Las Vegas. NYTimes.com and LJWorld.com won in the best news site categories. KING5.com took the best overall TV-affiliated site award (woo hoo!) MSNBC.com and DenverPost.com won in the best community site categories. And CNN.com (with iReport) won the Knight News innovation award. More winners here. Congrats, everyone! ...
