friends won't let friends see... star wars: the clone wars
The Center Seat —
Remember when Star Wars used to be cool? Groundbreaking, even. But that was like 25 years ago. I was a cute little cherub in pigtails.
I've moved on, and so should George Lucas. MSN critic Jim Emerson agrees.
On the Tomatometer: 23%. It's not pretty.
The Clone Wars: I Don’t Think I Can Do It
Austin Script Guy - A Film And Screenwriting Blog —
... One of the things I want to do with this site is occasional film reviews. After reading the reviews–it’s currently in the low 20s over at Rotten Tomatoes!–I just don’t think I can go to the theater and see The Clone Wars. I’m a huge Star Wars fan, and after going home depressed after two of the three prequels, I’m not going to do it to myself again. BIGGER THAN JESUS: The Jonas Brothers' album debuted at number 1 on the Billboard charts, selling more copies than any other album in 2008 besides Lil' Wayne's Tha Carter III and Coldplay's Viva La Vida. In a related story, compact discs still exist. (Yahoo)
MORE LIKE CLONE BORES: 18% of the people who went to see The Clone Wars are awfully brave. (Rotten Tomatoes)

I don't think the die hard fans will be happy with it considering it takes a cute and sometimes silly approach especially with the dialogue. You can tell pretty quickly that the film is for kids, but I wonder if the world and setting is explained ...
This Week in DVD: Hellboy II, Kung Fu Panda, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and More
/Film —
... I would love to bitch-slap George Lucas. His eagerness to destroy the legacies of the franchises fans hold so dear to their hearts is sickening. This has never been more evident than with The Clone Wars, a CGI precursor to a Cartoon Network TV show that was originally meant to air on television. Now, I haven’t yet seen the film (the horrible reviews haven’t offered a whole lot of incentive), but only a real douchebag would take something that’s clearly suited specifically for TV and force it into theatres, thus fooling unaware audience members into emptying ...
