New The White Ribbon trailer online
Filmstalker — ... that's getting a lot of postive commentary, which means that just isn't happening, and with some of the reviews that's probably warranted, but for this trailer? Well I'm saying it. The trailer looks haphazard and confusing, but it's black and white and Haneke. So what, the trailer still doesn't attract my attention, hold it, and make me want to see the film, it's just the director's name that builds any of that. Here's the trailer for The White Ribbon through the excellent Row Three :

Row Three — ... Trailer A little surprising that this was the Palme d’Or winner at last year’s Cannes film Fest… or is it? Having only seen the film one time I think it’s one that you can’t fully appreciate with only one viewing. The story is slow and a bit on the dull side but I think just under the surface is something sinister and fantastic wanting to boil up. The black and white cinematography maybe one of the most beautifully shot B&W films ever made and again, there’s more to this story and its subtext than first meets the eye. This just might be the film to see in 2009. ...
