sasha_3 I love Tim Burton but i think from first impressions he has got this movie all wrong, im going to see it int he next week so i can judge further. The film looks all colourful and childlike, i do believe the book was dark and mysterious, which the film has not picked up on. I also want to know how there going to do the part where Coraline's locked behind the mirror? If the films good or not we will see. -
muttleyyy Man, I'm sick of reading that this movie is a Tim Burton movie. It's Henry Selick, Tim Burton had NOTHING to do with the movie. Henry Selick was the director of the nightmare before christmas and Tim Burton was the co-director Google it or something.
Great movie though, I'd like to see more done by Henry Selick :)

PorcelainBallerina @ Muttleyyy :
Maybe YOU should google it.
Tim Burton wasn't co-director.
He WROTE the Nightmare Before Christmas.
The only reason he didn't direct it was because he was too busy with Batman Returns.
But as for Coraline, Tim Burton was in fact NOT part of it.

... . Coraline , the newest eye candy from Henry Selnick, director of Nightmare Before Christmas , and based on Neil Gaiman’s best-selling book, is the story of a young girl who finds a secret door into a fantasy world. Our friend George over at Latino Review got a sneak peek at Coraline this week. Check out his article and let us know if you’re excited for this one. The well-endowed mermaid with the pasties freaks me out a little.
