A truly lucky and blessed bastard has seen THE DARK KNIGHT and damn... I'm so frickin' jealous!
Hey folks, Harry here... On the other side of WALL*E... for me the film I'm geekin' hardest for is THE DARK KNIGHT. I watch the TV spots relentlessly. The new glimpses at Heath's performance are both hearthbreaking & illuminating. Early Review Compares The Dark Knight to Heat and Godfather 2
/Film — ... in that film we have a great scene between Heath Ledger and Christian Bale across a table. There is also an element of a Greek Tragedy.. There is a vast sense of morality at play within the film.” “The Joker is almost more of a terrorist than criminal. He is not motivated by money. He wants to see people suffer.” “The run time is two and a half hours. It doesn’t feel that long as there is so much going on within the film.” You can read the full review on AICN. THE DARK KNIGHT REVIEWED (already?)
Original Sharp Says... — ... will say there is death but not in the way some of the fan boys who have watched the trailer are thinking." What this means I honestly have no idea, my only idea would be that it ISN'T Rachel Dawes who dies (GODDAMMIT!) and that it's a character we least expect. Perhaps Commissioner Loeb? The Dark Knight Reviews - It’s Spectacular
Movie Moron — ... Ledger is mad-crazy-blazing brilliant… It’s typical of Ledger’s total commitment to films as diverse as Brokeback Mountain and I’m Not There that he does nothing out of vanity or the need to be liked. If there’s a movement to get him the first posthumous Oscar since Peter Finch won for 1976’s Network, sign me up… It’s full of surprises you don’t see coming. LAZY EYE THEATRE — ... good, very entertaining movies. Iron Man was just the right balance of fun, action and drama and Wall*E brought American animated storytelling back to an art form. And then there's The Dark Knight, the movie that made a whole lot of people act pretty kooky. First there was the pre-Oscar buzz of Heath Ledger. Then there were the initial reviews where some called it without a doubt, the best and most important picture of the year and one compared it to The Godfather Part 2. No doubt The Dark Knight is ...
