Amanda Seyfried, the star of this summer’s box office hit musical “Mamma Mia!,” is set to star in the big-screen adaptation of Nicholas Sparks’ bestseller “Dear John.” Variety reports she's joining Channing Tatum in the upcoming drama, which Lasse Hallstrom is directing for Relativity and Screen Gems. In the adaptation by Jamie Linden (“We Are Marshall”), a young woman falls on love with a solider while he’s on leave.
