Although the center welcomed the first “Idol” hopefuls when the gates opened at 2 a.m., singers arrived throughout the day. No auditions were held; those in line were there just to snag a wristband that would grant the wearer access to auditions held tomorrow. Wristbands — silver for singers, orange for a parent or friend — will still be distributed through 8 a.m. Monday.
