Broken Lizard’s THE SLAMMIN’ SALMON Will Finally Hit Theaters This December

Anchor Bay Films is going to get a pass from me for a while because they picked up Broken Lizard’s newest film, “The Slammin’ Salmon” and will distribute it to theaters this December. Every time I saw an update from BL on Facebook, I would wonder when I would finally get to see the movie which premiered at Slamdance this past ...

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. I recently saw the Broken Lizard guys' live show here in Austin which was a mixture of sketch, audience participation and stand-up. Kevin Heffernan and Steve Lemme did a great tribute to Patrick Swayze, recalling a horrible first encounter story of their meeting with someone they considered an idol. Anyway, they mentioned during this show that their new movie was going to be seeing theatrical release this December and now we're getting news of just what that is. :: The Playlist :: —
[image] — In search of ever-stranger source material for blockbuster movies, (following theme park rides and segments of " Fantasia "...) Jerry Bruckheimer is developing a movie based on the four year old, not particularly successful real-time-strategy video game " Shattered Union ," which will be written by J Michael Straczynski (" Changeling ," the upcoming " World War Z "). The game is set in the near future, in the aftermath of a nuclear attack on Washington DC, and follows a civil war between the California Commonwealth, The Confederacy, the Great Plains Federation, the New England Alliance, Pacifica and the Republic of Texas. The worst thing ...
