Anne Hathaway seems to specialize in movies about weddings.
According to Variety, Anne Hathaway has agreed to star in The Fiance. Burr Steers will direct the romantic comedy. Etan Cohen is doing a rewrite of Dyanne Stemple and Jennifer Robinson’s script. Cohen wrote Tropic Thunder, which makes him the obvious choice to fix up a rom-com about marriage issues (just kidding, Etan!).
Hathaway will star as a bride-to-be who breaks up with her seemingly ideal fiance in order to find herself. However, her parents keep trying to get them back together, making it difficult for her to move on. ...
