Erin I want to see the movie (not sure how I'm going to drag my husband to it, but that's a challenge I'm up to), but I would have been very happy if they had foregone the total saturation strategy for advertising and just let word of mouth take care of it. Probably as effective too - any woman who's ever seen the show is going to go anyway. -
jebbica I'm not quite there yet, but my boyfriend sure is! :) -
The Third I Maybe that's my issue.
There is no woman out in America going 'oh they made a Sex and the City movie? Had no idea.'Women know it's coming, really no need to remind them every 13 seconds on every television show. And men don't care. They are either avoiding it like buying new underwear or have to go see it in some type of agreement/losing a bet scenario.

kellyfilmgirl Well, I know I won't be seeing it. I hated the show and the ads annoy the hell out of me.

jebbica I'm not really a girly girl, but since most women's guys will be dragging their wives and girlfriends this summer to see Iron Man (which was good), Speed Racer, Indiana Jones, X Files (that's the one I'm excited about), Dragonball, etc., one little chick flick isn't going to hurt them!-
kellyfilmgirl "Iron Man (which was good), Indiana Jones, X Files (that's the one I'm excited about)"
Weird. I'm a girl and those are the movies I'm looking forward to.
Would have been looking forward to Speed Racer had they stuck closer to the source material instead of making it look like Sonic the Hedgehog. *eyeroll*

The Third I I was never really looking forward to Speed Racer. I think it's because I didn't even really like the cartoon.
