... that Ellen Page had joined Sam Raimi's upcoming horror flick Drag Me to Hell. Although that was some of the most exciting casting news we've ever heard, Bloody Disgusting has confirmed that Page has dropped out of the film. The film is directed by Sam Raimi and written by Raimi and ...

Sadly, Ellen Page is Not Going to Hell

... Bloody Disgusting reported the news, citing an unidentified source that claimed Ms. Page didn't like the latest draft of the script by Sam and Ivan Raimi and speculating that it was really "Oscar cold feet" that caused her to change her mind three weeks after accepting the role. 'Juno' Why Ellen Page Won't Be In Drag Me To Hell?
Published 3/2/2008 by Niall Browne at Screen Rant
... will be a disaster? Possibly. Maybe the script does suck, maybe the Juno star does have better things to do with her time or maybe she realized that a genre movie like this isn't the best way to follow up an Oscar nomination. No news yet on who will replace her, but they'll have to get their skates on as the film goes into production soon. I'll keep you posted on any further developments!
