Blake Lewis is the latest “American Idol” finalist to be dropped by his record label, he told the Internet radio show Maximum Threshold . Both Season 5’s winner and runner-up — Taylor Hicks and Katherine McPhee — were dropped from their respective labels, and Season 2 winner Ruben Studdard was dropped from J Records for falling “short of expectations.” (link)
