I am – Hercules!! James L. Brooks has cast Reese Witherspoon in his sixth directorial effort, a Sony project with three main characters tentatively titled “How Do You Know?” Shooting is set to start in March on the project, Brooks’ first as a writer-director since “Spanglish.” No logline yet, but all of Brooks' prior movies have been romantic comedy-dramas. Brooks’ previous directorial efforts were “Terms of Endearment,” “Broadcast News,” “I’ll Do Anything” and “As Good As It Gets.” He also co-created "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" and scripted the hilarious Burt Reynolds vehicle "Starting Over." Reese Witherspoon has been set as comedic lead in untitled film for Columbia Pictures. According to Varitey James L. Brooks the director and writer of the film is in the works of finishing up the script. Described as an ensemble project that boasts at least three major characters -- a hallmark of such Brooks films as "Broadcast News" and "Terms of Endearment." Witherspoon is the only lead to sign on so far. Logline is being kept under wraps on the film, which has the working title "How Do You Know?" Studio is eyeing a March start date.

But now he's back, and according to Variety, he's working hard on an untitled Columbia Pictures comedy that will star Reese Witherspoon.
Plot details are strictly kept under wraps, and the only thing we know at this stage is that the film seems to be an "ensemble project that boasts at least three major characters."
